Three people were nominated to fill the vacant job of commissioner of Fish and
Game by the game and fish boards, Alaska Board of Game chairman Mike Fleagle
announced Monday morning.
They are acting commissioner Wayne Regelin; McKie Campbell of Juneau, a former deputy commissioner; and Doug Mecum, the director of the Division of Commercial Fisheries.
The boards had reviewed eight candidates for the position, open since Kevin Duffy resigned as commissioner at the end of 2004.
The two boards met in joint session Sunday night in Anchorage to make their final selections.
The three nominations will now be forwarded to Gov. Frank Murkowski. |
