What's Next, Aerial Pothead Hunting?

Letters / Anchorage Press / April 21, 2005

People of Alaska: First the wolves, now the grizzly bears, next who knows - probably pot smokers will be officially sanctioned to be shot from planes, baited (with cheeseburgers!) and killed for sport.

What's happened to you? Didn't you realize what a servant to special interests Murkowski is before you elected him? Are you blinded by the male bovine excrement offered by the Board of Game as an excuse for shooting wolves and brown bears?

"North to the Future"? Your state motto needs to be changed to "North repeating the same mistakes the Lower 48 made in the past." Geez!

To many of us, Alaska represents all the beauty that has been lost way down here. Alaska is the last untarnished jewel. Alaskans are the guardians of that jewel, or were.

Please, before Alaska becomes sterilized like the Lower 48, get off your derrieres and stand up against the fools who are selling you and the rest of America out to special interests, and vote murky-minded Murkowski out while boarding up the Board of Game in an enclosure where they can be hunted by the very arrogant super rich they are so subservient to. Or, just roll over and become another McState like we've done to ourselves down here.

Shame on you allowing such desecration to occur in your own back yard.
