Letters / Juneau Empire / April 27, 2005
I just read Holly Cockerille's letter regarding relocating humans rather than
predators. Considering the fact that there have been far more human beings than
wolves in the Dredge Lake area for quite some time now and considering the fact
that human beings frequent the area for recreation, was this Ms. Cockerille's
attempt at ironic humor?
Personally, dogs have always been my favorite animal, and I believe any pet really is a part of our family. The last Rick Huteson saw of his dog, Tank, it was in the mouth of the wolf running away from him. Considering that, I found Ms. Cockerille's comment about wolves finding small dogs adorable and delicious extremely cruel and thoughtless.
