Hunters Not Willing to Get Out in Nature Should Give Up Their Guns

Letters to the Editor / Anchorage Daily News / June 1, 2003

I would like to join my voice with that of Marlo Shedlock-York who said very clearly what many of us feel about airborne wolf hunting and the people who advocate it ("Alaskans enjoy viewing wildlife just as much as the Outside Greenies," May 29). Right on, Marlo! I couldn't have said it any better.

What kind of hunter stoops to shooting anything from a plane? How can anyone even begin to think of that as a sport or even morally appropriate? If you do not have the guts to get out there on your two feet and trek through nature, give up your gun.
