In Favor of Aerial Wolf Hunting? Then Let's Shoot Speeding Motorists

Letters to the Editor / Anchorage Daily News / July 3, 2003

As first-time visitors to your beautiful state, we have been greatly impressed with its natural beauty and friendly citizens. However, we are appalled at the attempt of your Legislature and governor to control Mother Nature. Authorizing shooting (not hunting) wolves from the air seems like a throwback to 1950s thinking. Perhaps next they will authorize this same type of predator control for the speeding Alaska motorists who kill hundreds of moose each and every year.
