We in Alaska are fortunate to have the most spectacular brown bears in the world. The Kamishak Special-Use Area is one of the most splendid bear viewing sites in the world.
Let us abide by the laws of fair chase and provide these bears and those who enjoy watching them with the protection they both need and deserve.
It is critical to keep the Kamishak Special-Use Area closed to hunting. It was critical in 1985 and is arguably even more important today.
