Game Board Oversees Game, Not Photo Models; Get Over It

Letters / Anchorage Daily News / June 5, 2007

I'm sick of all the letters in the past calling the present Board of Game killers. If they are all hunters and trappers, it says to me they have experience in the field and are more qualified to make regulations on the subject of game. Game is the operative word; it means animals that are killed for food or fur or both. Imagine traffic laws made by people who have never driven a motor vehicle. There might be a time when a separate Board of Animal Observation and Photography is needed. But that would be a waste of taxpayers' money, kind of like the Federal Subsistence Board here on the Kenai Peninsula.
