Stop the War on Wolves, Call Governor Murkowski

Letter to the Editor / Juneau Empire / November 9, 2003

Those involved prepare for combat. The planes are fueled and navigation routes are planned. Firearms and ammunition are readied. The battlefield waits. Innocents will be either killed or significantly wounded, but all is fair in war. Or is it

The Alaskan people have voted "no" twice on this war. The war I am talking about is soon to take place in the McGrath area in Alaska. The purpose of this war is to kill wolves. In this war, it is not the Bush Administration that can be held accountable, but it is our own governor and his administration. Rally the troops and tell Gov. Murkowski that this war is unacceptable and needs to be stopped before fresh blood covers virgin snow.
Call Gov. Murkowski now at (907) 465-3500.
