FORT RICHARDSON, Alaska (AP) - Officials have reopened training areas around Fort Richardson that were closed last month because of wolf activity.
The training areas west and north of Artillery Road were closed to recreation activities on December 22nd.
The restriction was imposed for the safety of people who use Fort Richardson lands for recreational purposes, base officials said at the time.
The closure came after several incidents in which wolves threatened people and attacked dogs. |
