Alaskans, Not Tourists,
are Best Qualified to Solve Local Issues

Letters to the Editor / Anchorage Daily News / November 13, 2003

Regarding "Gov. Murkowski's decision to go over heads of voters is appalling" (Nov. 8): Whether I'm for or against the aerial wolf hunt, I am for Alaskans solving our own problems. We face enough challenges within our own state without the need for yahoos from other states throwing gas on the fire.

I'm in the tourist business and am grateful for guests that visit our great state. However, if some people fail to come to our state every time they disagree with a local issue, then I have only two simple words ... bye-bye!
