Aerial Wolf Hunting / It's Wrong for Alaska

Aerial Wolf Hunting / It's Wrong for Alaska

Real Alaskan hunters are disgusted by it. Scientists say it's unnecessary. And in just 14 days, Alaskans like you will have a chance to stop it.

It's Alaska's aerial hunting program, and on August 26th, voters will make their voices heard on Ballot Measure 2 -- a carefully drafted measure by long-time Alaskans that would limit this awful practice.

Alaska's wolf slaughter is out of control.
This year alone, 124 Alaskan wolves were gunned down from the skies. Nearly 800 wolves have been killed by aerial hunters in the last five years. And just this summer, 28 wolves were executed near their dens -- including 14 defenseless wolf pups illegally killed by Alaska state officials.

You Can Help
Will you help us spread the word to other Alaskans and put an end to this awful practice? Here's how you can help.

  • Forward this message to at least 3 friends who care about ethical, science based management of Alaska's wolves and bears.
  • Urge your friends to vote "Yes" on Ballot Measure 2 on August 26.

Nearly 57,000 Alaskans petitioned for the chance to vote later this month on the controversial practice of allowing private citizens to use Supercubs and other aircraft to gun down wolves and bears from above or chase them to exhaustion and kill them at point-blank range.

Aerial hunting isn't ethical hunting. It's just wrong.

But that hasn't stopped groups like Safari Club International and politicians aligned with the Alaska Outdoors Council from pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into a quasi-legal campaign to preserve this brutal practice.

Help us counter these state- and special-interest-funded distortions. Please forward this message to at least 3 friends who believe in fair chase and responsible management of Alaska's wildlife and encourage them to vote "Yes!" on Ballot Measure 2.

We're counting on you to help spread the word
