Leave it to Biologists

Letters to the Editor / Fairbanks Daily News-Miner / December 12, 2003

To the Editor:

Gov. Frank Murkowski may want to consider just reading from the script that is handed to him rather than trying to just wing it on the issue of wolf control.

While the biologists are advocating reductions in wolf numbers so that more moose can he harvested, Frank is getting all weepy eyed over "the majesty of the moose calf and the rights of that calf to reproduce." Are you now a member of Friends of Moose?

The "responsible approach" that you mention would be to let the biologists do the talking for you on this issue.

Dennis Jeffers / Fairbanks
