Killing Wolves

Letters to the Editor / Fairbanks Daily News-Miner / March 7, 2004

To the Editor:

I am a 10-year-old girl who is concerned about the killing of wolves. I really like wolves, and I think they're pretty, and there's no reason to kill them. The wolves only kill to eat.

They aren't responsible for the smaller numbers of moose. The moose could be sick, not be able to find enough food to eat or hunters may have killed too many bulls to repopulate. Don't blame it all on the wolves. That's just an excuse to kill them.

Just think, it's also man's fault when they become extinct. Men go out and kill them just to put the head on their wall, so it's not all the wolves' fault. It's not their fault some have died out. It's not their fault people are killing moose! So, please, stop killing them!
