Suspect Apprehended in Possible Illegal Wolf Shooting

Jeffrey Hope / KTUU / Channel 2 / April 14, 2004

Alaska State Troopers have a suspect in what appears to be illegal wolf shooting in the Upper Kuskokwim River Valley.

After noticing, Troopers say they found several carcasses, but they are not releasing the number or the location where the wolves were found. They believe the shootings are a violation of same-day airborne regulations.

Troopers say they have seized a PA-12 Super Cub after finding suspicious aircraft ski tracks near the carcasses.

The name of plane's owner is not being released.
