Article About Misinformation in Wolf Debate
Contained Misinformation

Letters to the Editor / Anchorage Daily News / April 20, 2004

A recent article stated that misinformation was being used by Outside interests in the wolf issue ("Wolf-kill debate won't go away," April 12). Bruce Bartley of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game used some of his own. He stated it's almost impossible to find and track wolves for a hunter on the ground. That would come as a surprise to the numerous hunters along the Kuskokwim River who harvest wolves by snowmachine each year. Dozens are killed for their pelts. I suspect such hunting happens in other areas of the state as well. The wolf debate should have accurate information from both sides.
